All campers have the option to travel with us to the island of Jamaica with our group airline tickets. The price of the airline ticket is included in the tuition for those looking to fly with our Counselors and the group. Read why you should fly with us HERE *A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required with each registration. We cannot guarantee your space without this deposit.

Animal Camp Jamaica Dates & Rates

** Each session of Animal Camp Jamaica starts on a SUNDAY with Orientation at the Drury Inn in St. Louis. Depending on your choice of airfare, you may be meeting with our group on Monday instead of Sunday.
** Basic tuition for Animal Camp Jamaica includes hotel stay and meals on Orientation Day; All the daily scheduled meals both at the Villa and while on trips; All accommodations while staying at Seven Palms Villa including laundry and transportation; All admission fees for scheduled excursions (excludes Program Add-Ons like Trip Day, SCUBA certification, and Horseback Riding); All departures taxes, port taxes, and government fees.
** Tuition and Program costs do not cover: Medical Insurance or treatment; Optional Activities and the associated equipment, rental fees, entry fees; Program Add-ons:Horseback Riding, SCUBA certification,Trip Day costs see Program Add ons; Lost or Stolen Items; Certifications; Unscheduled meals or snacks.

Session Availability - What do the colored dots mean?
Knowing when to register can be a challenge, so we have tried to simplify things. On the chart above, we use colored dots to let you know how close a session is to being full.
A GREEN DOT means that the session/grouping still has plenty of room.
A YELLOW DOT means that spaces are filling for that session, but there is room. So, don't dilly dally, register soon.
A ORANGE DOT means that there are MINIMAL spaces left in that session for that age group. Orange also means that the these could be the LAST spaces. If you want that session, call the office (573-458-2125) for availability!
A BLACK DOT tells you that a session is full and that it is waitlist only. If this is the session you would like, please join the waitlist. We will contact you if/when a space opens.

Round-Trip Airfare - What are the two options?
$3685 -- Tuition + Airfare
Chaperoned Round Trip Airfare from St. Louis + 1 night hotel accommodation prior to departure + Airport shuttle to and from villa
Tuitions including our airfare package includes the purchase of a group travel round-trip airline ticket. Our team will arrange, book, and plan all travel from St. Louis airport to Jamaica, round-trip. This tuition includes the chaperones supervision and help with all traveling needs including plane changes, immigration/customs, and unforseen plane/travel changes or cancellations. $2690 -- Basic Tuition
Basic Program Tuition; Does not include our chaperoned, round-trip airfare. This is the basic tuition for Animal Camp Jamaica. It includes all programming, meal, and villa costs, but excludes our round-trip airfare option. Those selecting this tuition option are expected to plan their own airfare to and from the island of Jamaica in coordination with our airfare. This tuition option may also include other fees if your camper is hoping to take our camp shuttle to and from the villa on arrival/departure. What is included in the Cost of Camp?
Basic tuition costs include housing in villa, meals for each day of camp and access to all our activities. All of our campers have a travel experience where they climb Dunn's River Falls, visit the Craft and Produce market, tube down the Rio Bueno river, and do daily snorkeling! To read the complete program, read all the information in "Camp Activities" . When you register for Animal Camp Jamaica, tuition covers our amazing camp experience, but it also includes stay at our private, spacious villa with air-conditioning, in-suite bathrooms, meals and access to 24-hour fruit/snacks, laundry service, a pool, and transportation between activities. For those who selected our round-trip airfare, that is added in the cost of tuition, and includes full chaperone supervision for the entirety of the trip. This includes our team booking the trip, handling all travel planning and possible travel changes, re-booking for cancellations/changes, and round-trip shuttle to and from the villa upon arrival/departure. Tuition excludes Program Add-Ons like Trip Day, SCUBA certification, and Horseback Riding.
Do I pay for camp all upfront?
No! All that is needed to get a Registration locked in place is a $500 deposit. Payment for Registrations (tuition, airfare, add-ons etc) are due April 1. You can make payments leading up to camp in whatever method works best for you. You can set up automatic payments through Campwise, you can call in periodically to make payments, you can send in checks, or you can choose to make one final payment on April 1st.
We are on the Waitlist, what should we know?
We have a list generated of who is on the waitlist and when they joined. Once a space becomes available, we contact the family (both email and phone) to offer that space to them. In the meantime, PLEASE consider registering for another session if your schedule allows. If when you sign up for another/additional weeks, you can let us know which of the weeks is your preference and if the space opens in your preferred week we will contact you. Please do not contact us to see if the space has opened. We can however let you know if your position number on the waitlist has changed, but if we have not yet contacted you, your space has not become available.
What is a "Deposit"?
In order to hold a space in camp, a deposit of $500 is required. All deposits are non-refundable. All deposits are non-transferrable to another camper or to another summer. Deposits may be moved to a different session in the same summer. To read more about our refund policy and deposits, click here.
How many spaces are left if there is yellow/red/black dot in the session I want?
Short answer: Online we can't give specific numbers! Once a dot changes to yellow, that means that specific group is at least half full. Once a session turns yellow, you should consider registering soon. Red means that we are within the last available spaces and that can be as low as ONE. Black is full. In the Spring, a session can quickly fill and we change the colors of the dots sometimes multiple times within a day! We can't tell you specific numbers for a session on the website's calendar, but you are welcome to call and ask. The quickest method for reserving a space is registering in Campwise! If a dot is yellow or red and you are sure you are wanting to attend camp, REGISTER!
What is the chances a space opens off the waitlist?
It's hard to give a standard answer for this, but in general there is some chance. We have families who alter their sessions due to schedule changes or preferences. There are also times when a family may decide to cancel their Jamaica session, but come to our camp in the United States (Cub Creek). This allows for small/random openings in sessions that are black/waitlisted. If a session is black early in the new year (January- March) chances are higher for a space to open. The closer we get to the summer, the less likely the chances are.
I need to change sessions- how do I do that?
To switch your session, you can call, or email to let us know where we can move your camper's registration. You are not able to move a camper's week on your own in Campwise. When you email, please give your full name and your camper's full name along with the session they are currently in and the week you are hoping to move to. If you leave us a voicemail, let us know the same information and we will send you an email confirmation letting you know when it is done. If you would prefer a call back instead of an email, please indicate that in your email or voicemail.
Are there other costs besides tuition?
Yes, but these are dependent on the camp experience that you are choosing for your child.
*Transportation: All campers have the option to either fly with our group on our round-trip airfare or a family can book and schedule their own flights. For those who are flying with us , flight costs are all included in the tuition! You can read more about airfare here. If you are planning your camper's flight, there is an additional cost of $150 for their shuttle fees. This covers their transportation to/from the villa and the Montego Bay airport.
*Trip Day and Add Ons: Each camper has the ability add more to their trip! These are *optional* and does not influence, change, or alter our standard program (see FAQ: What is included in tuition). Add ons are based on an individual camper's personal interests. Read more about Add Ons and Trip Day here.
*Pocket Money: Campers have a spending account in Jamaica. If you are familiar with Cub Creek's camp store, it is similar to that! Campers will have spending money on account with us and they are able to buy souvenirs, personal snacks/treats, etc. The amount is up to you and is also *optional*- all program entrance fees and meals are covered by tuition. If you choose, the average is between $100 and $150 for the trip.
The session we want is black. What do I do?
Log into Campwise and add yourself to that session's waitlist! You are able to do that yourself once a session is black. You will not be told what position you are on the waitlist, but you will see that your camper's week status says "Waitlist". In the meantime, if your schedule has the flexibilty sign up for an open session and let us know that your waitlisted session is your preferred one.
I'm having trouble logging into Campwise.
If you experience any issues with logging into Campwise, please call us! 573-458-2125 Please do not make a second or different account for your camper if you know you already have a log in. We are not able to see your password, but we can reset your existing account to allow you access again. We are able to help with other issues you may run into including uploading documents, viewing multiple campers, etc. If you are having those issues, give us a call!
