Program Schedule by the Day
Below is our tentative schedule, but please keep in mind that this schedule may change based on the days weather conditions.
Arrive in St. Louis. Staff will meet you either at the airport at the Clairmont Hotel. Once everyone has gathered you will have a chance to meet the other participants and have an orientation to the program and the island.
Fly to Jamaica and then head to the villa. You will have time to unpack then get a tour around the villa. We then head to the beach to play in the waves and enjoy the ocean. Dinner is a home cooked meal followed by an introduction to marine biology.
Days 3 – 12 are not in any particular order. Activities may change based on the weather
After a morning on the beach we will drive up into the mountains to grab patties ( a local favorite), then head to the outdoor food market to purchase fresh produce and try some delicious exotic fruits that are strange to look at, but delicious to taste.
Dunns' River Falls
Snorkeling and marine biology program in the morning. Visit Dunn's River Falls in the afternoon. While at the falls, you will climb up a magnificent waterfall and slide down some fun natural water slides into the pools of crystalline water below.

You will: swim with the sting rays, see and learn about sharks and dolphins, enjoy kayaking in a clear bottom kayak that allows you to see an ocean view below your feet, stroll along a jungle trail and see a variety of birds, lizards and snakes, as well as walk into an open air aviary and feed the birds.
Snorkeling and marine biology program in the morning. In the afternoon, we will visit the botanical gardens and history museum at Coyaba Gardens. We will also visit and climb a HUGE Banyon tree.
Snorkeling and marine biology program in the morning. In the afternoon, you will shop at the famous Ocho Rios Craft Market and other souvenir shops around the town of Ochi.
Volunteer work with kids
Snorkeling and marine biology program in the morning. Visit and help a local school in the afternoon. You will help us complete a service project designed to make the school a better place for some of the local kids who live in and around the Runaway Bay area.
Tubing on the River
Snorkeling and marine biology program in the morning. In the afternoon, you will take a short fifteen minute drive to the Rio Bueno River, where you will be surrounded by a lush tropical rain forest and the crystal clear water of the Rio Bueno River. Then enjoy floating on an inner tube down the river to its final destination at the ocean.
Snorkeling and marine biology program in the morning. Take a trip through Fern Gully and other scenic destinations in the afternoon and stop off at a few local farms to harvest some fresh local favorites.
On this day you create your own "perfect day". You can choose to go for a two tank scuba dive, spend the day as a keeper for the day at Dolphin Cove, visit Mystic Mountain and do the zip-line and bobsled tour or just relax and hang out at our own private beach.
This is your last full day on the island. We will spend it enjoying the beach and local fare. At the end of the day we will have a giant bonfire on the beach. We will eat dinner on the beach and enjoy smores, while sharing your favorite memories from the trip.
We head to the airport very early in the morning and will be back in St. Louis about 5 pm. A staff is available to stay at the Clairmont Hotel in St. Louis with any campers who will be flying home on the following morning.
